Week 3 Analysis: Businesses & Audiovisual Media
Why hello there my Fierce readers,
I’m here again with another businesses & audiovisual media. This time I will be analyzing: Full Sail video, the Dollar Shave Club video, and Science World video. Through this blog I will give you an explanation on how these video tell a story or if they are recruitment tools. Lets dig right in!
The Full Sail video is not used as a recruitment tool, It is used as a digital story that is bring Full Sail to life. The story is like taking you on a journey through Full Sail while the story builds your confidence that you are making the right choice in your education. Even if you have not commuted to the school the story makes you feel like you are in the right place. The story is giving you a day in the life of a student but not just one student but all the different types of students housed at Full Sail.
The Dollar Shave Club video is used to announce their new product in a humors way. There is very much so a story to this video but I also think it is used for recruitment purposes as well. i feel that the story is that all types of men have to all use toiled paper at one point but it's not as great as using the Dollar Shave club’s One Wipe Charlies, The story use great metaphors and imagery to convey their story. I especially like the movement in the story its always constant which i notice this a lot in Dollar Shave Club’s videos. I also like the use of props and costumes like the bear which make the story very interactive.
The Science World video I felt was used in a fantastic way to invite patrons their musem. It was very entertaining and I like how their was constant movement as well in this video. The story I feels it tells exactly what the music is playing in the back ground “That you ain’t seen nothing yet”. Meaning that even when you think you seen it all at Science World you actually have not seen nothing, because they are just getting started. That when you come to Science world you don't have to be one way that you can change and be more than your self. Than science is cool and fun and you can branch out and learn something while your still enjoying yourself.
